Danza Gaia
Heliand presents our spring program of music inspired by dance. In particular, the TANGO! We’ll present a milonga, a contratango, and the “Danza Gaia” by Argentinian composers Astor Piazzolla and Noelia Escalzo, and the English composer, pianist, singer and actress, Madeleine Dring.
Also featured is the unparalleled trio for Piano, Oboe and Bassoon by Francis Poulenc, and a smattering of pieces to complement the joyful mood, including works by Chick Corea, Padma Newsome and Peter Hope.
